SNEAPPA’s 2025 Summer Meeting will be held at Bryant University on Wednesday, June 18 with a full agenda of current topics affecting Facilities teams across the spectrum. After the SNEAPPA Business Meeting, the day’s programing begins with Sustainability and Stormwater Management in the Design and Development of Athletic Facilities, presented by Bryant University Senior Project Manager and other project principals. Session two, GIS Solutions for Utilities & Facilities Management; Mapping the Campus, will follow, presented in part by Bryant University’s AVP for Planning, Design & Construction. The final session of the day will be on AI Impacts and Uses in the FM World. In between sessions, take advantage of the networking breaks to catch up with colleagues and make new connections!

Program Descriptions
Session #1: Sustainability and Stormwater Management in the Design and Development of Athletic Facilities
Bryant University just completed the construction of an extensive 19-acre Athletic Field complex that includes a new Field Hockey Field, a new Rugby/Recreational Field, a new track and field throwing complex, turf replacements of football/baseball fields, and other site amenities including roadways, parking, and lighting. The presentation will review the regulatory and permitting process, approaches for stormwater management, product selections, and water conservation.

Session #2: GIS Solutions for Utilities & Facilities Management; Mapping the Campus
See how Geographic Information System (GIS) is used for managing and documenting campus-wide utility assets including the electrical, water, gas, and sewer systems. Explore how Bryant converted Georeferenced CAD files into a system of ESRI GIS solutions that can be deployed by facilities staff, students and visitors through various applications and web experiences.

Tour #1: Bryant University Field House (in construction) and Athletic Field Complex
A 45,000 SF athletic facility situated adjacent to the football stadium will include locker rooms for football and other team sports, a black and gold club, premium stadium seating, a new press box, ticketing and other amenities supporting athletic programs. The project is under construction with an anticipated completion in August 2025.

Tour #2: Puisheys Residence Complex (in construction)
An 85,000 SF 200-bed residence hall featuring 4-person and 6-person apartment units with all single bedrooms. The innovative design fosters a sense of belonging at Bryant with a contemporary design to foster community, collaboration, and personal wellness. The building features use of CLT decking. The project is under construction with an anticipated completion in August 2025.

Business Entrepreneurship Leadership Center (BELC) Roundtable Discussion
How Bryant transformed a 250,000 SF office building into a cutting-edge Business Entrepreneurship Leadership Center. In 2024, Bryant’s corporate neighbor Fidelity Investments gifted a large 250,000 SF building to the University. In a period of months, the University transformed it into a state-of-the-art College of Business with innovative labs, classrooms, faculty offices, and staff spaces. Learn how Bryant leveraged nimble decision-making and partnerships to design and execute this project quickly with such great success.
